Perhaps this is what I should have expected from a book in this category, but there are also brilliant examples of writings on manners and style. For example Hardy Amies “The Englishman’s suit” is now back in print in the English version. Or Asfa-Wossen Asserate’s “Manieren”, which is a bit limited in range, because not available in English translation (which makes it perhaps even better). The “Art of manliness” is shallow in content, weak in inspiration and badly researched.Man Up!
